Six days until my birthday! And my parents decided to give me an early birthday present! Hmm, I wonder if I should make it a surprise to you guys and save it for my actual birthday. That sounds like a good idea. Anyway, today is Monday and it was quite eventful for one. Of course it started off like a normal Monday should, and then as the day unraveled, it became more and more amusing.
First period, in math, there was a quick power outage, and this caused complete silence in the entire school. I just remember looking down at my paper and seeing nothing. My reaction was, “Whoa.” and then when the lights came back on, I looked up and everyone in the room had wide eyes and were looking around like, “What the heck just happened!?” Although it caused confusion, I must say that it made me feel better because the AC went off with the power surge and made the room slightly warmer. (Our school doesn’t have heat circulating throughout the entire building, even though it’s a brand new building, so the just run the AC all day to keep the air flowing.)
Second period was just as amusing, surprisingly because we had a test and a sub. This class just so happens to be French, with a grand total of eight students on the roster. Well, the sub let us study for at least 10 minutes. Then when we got the test, we found out that it had nothing to do with the vocabulary that we were going over. So we were automatically doomed. But that didn't stop us... we just talked about the test to each other, DURING the test. And we all expected the sub to tell Mrs. Tafone about how we kind of but not really cheated, but instead she wrote, and I quote, "This is a class of perfect angels..." This made us all laugh. Gosh I love that class.
And speaking of French, we're learning a song and are going to sing it for the other french teacher at the end of the last week before winter vacation. It's called Hymne A L'Amitie by Celine Dion. And now our class is obsessed with it and we practice it at least two times a day.

Yes, I know, it's quite catchy.
